Setting up Chintaro to run the CHACA report

Modified on Thu, 01 Feb 2024 at 11:48 AM

Chintaro includes the Queensland Community Housing and Crisis Accommodation (CHACA) report for Queensland users.

Chintaro will populate most of the CHACA spreadsheet, but before you are able to create this report, you will need ensure that Chintaro is set up correctly to recognise which categories in the report relate to the options in Chintaro.

Downloading the Template and pasting it in your Chintaro\Data\Templates folder

**If you are using Chintaro Cloud, ignore this step and move down to the section regarding 'Setting Up Reference Tables to run the CHACA Report as Chintaro Support have added the template to the required Templates folder for you'**

The first step in setting up the CHACA report is to download the template spreadsheet at the bottom of this solution, titled CHACATemplate.xlsx

Once you have downloaded this file, paste it in your Chintaro\Data\Templates folder (click here if you're unsure where your Templates folder lives).

Open the CHACATemplate.xlsx file by double clicking, and select your Organisation from the 'Organisation Name' drop down list:

Click 'Save' to save the file.

Setting up Reference Tables to run the CHACA Report

Once you have added the Template (CHACATemplate.xlsx) to your Chintaro\Data\Templates folder, open Chintaro. There are 3 Reference Tables you will need to update: Program, Reason for Leaving and Exit Point.

Tenancies

To ensure that Tenancies are counted in the correct column, you will need to update the 'Program' Reference Table > CHACA Type column.

From the Home Screen, click System Maintenance > Reference Tables > Program:

For each Program that you would like to include on the CHACA report, select the applicable CHACA Type (EG CAP, CMSU, LTCH, etc.) in the 'CHACA Type' column:

The CHACA Types in this drop down list are the same names as the Program columns on the CHACA Report:

If you do not select a CHACA Type for a Program, it will not be included on the report.

Exit Reasons

To ensure that Exit Reasons (rows 15-27) on the report are correct, you will need to update the 'Reason for Leaving' reference table > CHACAType column.

In the Reference Tables screen, select 'Reason for Leaving' on the left hand side:

For each Reason for Leaving that you would like to include on the CHACA report, select the applicable CHACA Type (EG Arrears Eviction, Breach Action, Abandonment, etc.) in the 'CHACA Type' column:

Exit Points

To ensure that the Exit Points (rows 28 - 38) on the report are correct, you will need to update the Exit Point reference table > CHACA Type column.

Select the 'Exit Point' Reference Table on the left hand side of the screen:

For each Exit Point that you would like to include on the CHACA report, select the applicable CHACA type (EG Private Rental, Family and Friends, Homeless or Crisis Accommodation, etc.) in the 'CHACA Type' column:

Setting up Tenancies to run the CHACA Report

A number of new fields will need to be updated on each Tenancy that you would like included on the CHACA report.

To update this information, open any Tenancy (click Tenancies in the Toolbar > Double click a Tenant's name to open the Tenancy Screen).

There is now a Reporting tab on the Tenancy Screen that contains the fields needed to populate the majority of rows on the report:

Select the applicable CHACA tick boxes for this Tenant:

NOTE: Chintaro will not populate rows 46 to 60 - Asset management Outcome, Tenancy Planning or Common Ground Qld sections.  Populating these sections of the Report will be looked at for a future release.
