Preparing Chintaro for running the CHaCA Report

What is the CHaCA Report?

The Community Housing and Crisis Accommodation Performance Report (CHaCA) is a report that Queensland housing providers must submit to the Department of Housing and Public works quarterly. The report is populated by fields in Chintaro and is generated through the Reports and Exports > QLD Reports > CHaCA Report screen.


The report comprises of 1 worksheet which have special macros guiding and controlling the input of information.


This solution explains where the information is populated from Chintaro and into the report.


Sections of the CHaCA report

The CHaCA Report is separated in to 4 sections: Tenancy Management Outcome, Asset Management Outcome, Tenancy Planning (Transitional Housing Only) and Common Ground Queensland. Each of these sections each have different KPI's that are related to the outcome that form the rows of the report, (highlighted in red box):


The report has 7 columns that are populated by Program and also includes a column for the row totals:


What information will Chintaro populate?

Chintaro will populate rows 7 to 46, but it must be set up correctly before you run the CHaCA Report. Details on how to set Chintaro up are in this link: Setting up Chintaro to run the CHACA report


Where does the information in the report come from in Chintaro?

09Number of new allocations that have had a social housing tenancy in the previous 24 monthsIn Tenancy Screen > Reporting button > CHACA Social Housing Tenancy in previous 24 months (Y/N) tick box.
10Number of tenancies in rent arrears of more than 4 weeksN/A    Calculated at the end of the reporting period, by counting the number of Tenants in Rent Arrears by Program and Rent Balance fields.
11Number of tenancies identified as being able to access and sustain housing in the private sector.
In Tenancy Screen > Reporting button > CHACA Able to sustain housing in private market Y/N tick box.
12Of those tenancies identified as being able to access and sustain housing in the private market, state the number assisted to do so.
In Tenancy Screen > Reporting button > CHACA Assisted to sustain housing in private market Y/N tick box.
13Number of Provider Initiated exits.
Tenancy:

Reason for Leaving Reference Table:
When Vacating a Tenancy, a reason for leaving is entered.

All reasons for leaving have the option of a flag on the System Maintenance > Reference Tables > Reason for Leaving table to indicate 'Provider Initiated'.

This will count the number of Provider Initiated exits flagged as ticked (true).

Reason for Leaving Reference Table:

When Vacating a Tenancy, a reason for leaving is entered.

All reasons for leaving have the option of a flag on the System Maintenance > Reference Tables > Reason for Leaving table to indicate 'Provider Initiated'.

This will count the number of Provider Initiated exits not flagged as ticked (false).

Exit Point Reference Table:
When Vacating a Tenancy, an Exit Point to where the Tenant went after leaving is entered.

All Exit Points have a CHACA Type in the System Maintenance > Reference Tables > Exit Point table.
