This solution details the enhancements made to the November 2018 versions of Chintaro. The changes to SQL are at the top, and Access at the bottom.

Chintaro SQL Enhancements

Finance Enhancements:

  • Water Charge Preference: a new user parameter added for 'Water Days Exclusive' to be used when calculating days for the water charge word merge. Currently it counts the start date and end date. This preference will enable users to choose between this setting and a preference to not include the end date.

Property Enhancements:

  • Smoke Alarm Requirement Changes: New functionality that enables users to report on safety Smoke Alarms, Exit Lights and Thermostatic Mixing Valves, which is linked to the Inventory Items existing in Chintaro. Click here to find out more about setting this up in Chintaro.
  • New field on each Room for 'Inspection Group' to group Rooms together for easier scheduling of Inspections:  Rooms can now be allocated with a group so that when a Tenancy Manager/Property Manager opens the Schedule Inspections screen, they can filter the 'Inspection Group' column to easily schedule inspections:

'Inspection Group' column available on Manage Inspections and Schedule Inspections screens and can be updated in System Maintenance > Reference Tables > Inspection Group.

  • SetSecurity added to Manage Inspections screen: Increased auditability where System Administrators can prevent updating of fields for certain user roles on Inspection records.

Reports and Exports Enhancements:

  • Minor tweaks to Navision Export Property File for TRC

System Maintenance Enhancements:

  • All fields from Chintaro Data Dictionary added to System Maintenance > Security > Forms: Users will now be able to restrict access to the functions/fields on all 4 main screens of Chintaro without requiring support to advise field names.
  • Maintenance Task - Preference added to stop the Maintenance Task status changing to 'Email Sent' automatically: If you do not want Chintaro to change the status of a Maintenance Task automatically, go to System Maintenance > Preferences > Maintenance and set Update Status after Email to No:

Bug Fixes:

  • Tenancy Screen - create Tenancy showing training data name in the top of the screen - fixed.
  • NRS Asset report - use the online date and the return date to determine which properties were in use as at 30 June
