Property Maintenance - Planned Maintenance & Asset Planning

Modified on Tue, 4 Jun at 3:37 PM

The Planned Maintenance function will allow you to develop asset plans and assess expenditure by property over time. This information is held against inventory items, and

Note: This function is effectively replacing the Forecast Maintenance module. Any organisations that were making use of that and are unclear on this function should get in touch with Chintaro Support.

This solution details:

Step 1: Setting up your Inventory Items

Step 2: Setting up your Reference Tables

The Asset Value and Lifespan information is held in the "Item Type" reference table. Any system administrator with access to the reference tables can make these changes: System Maintenance - Managing Drop Down Lists (Reference Tables)

To enter Planned Maintenance information, add an Estimated value, and a Lifespan of the asset to the Item Types you want to plan for:

  • Estimate = $0.00 (A dollar figure)
  • Lifespan = Years (Rounded to a whole number)

After being filled in, these fields might look something like this:

Step 3: Creating your Maintenance Plan

You can access the Planned Maintenance screen via Home > Property Maintenance > Imports / Exports > Manage Planned Maintenance.

From here, either select the properties you'd like to budget for using the "Include" column, or press "Select ALL" to include all properties. Then, press "Show Plan".

This will show your plan on the screen in grid form. You can either use the information as it, or Print and Export using the buttons along the top.

If you have any questions about setting up your Maintenance Plan feel free to contact Chintaro Support via our website.
