What's new in the March 2019 release?

This solution details the enhancements made to the March 2019 versions of Chintaro. The changes to SQLx are at the top, and Access at the bottom.

Chintaro SQL Enhancements

Finance Enhancements:

New General Ledger format written for MINDA: Available in System Maintenance > Preferences > Finance > General Ledger Format:

Property Maintenance Enhancements:

Close and go to Maintenance Task button added to Maintenance Notes: Enhancement on notes created for Maintenance Tasks to be able to close and go to task. This will be partocularly useful when looking at the users Maintenance Action notes on the Home Screen, and will enable users to close the note and jump straight to the task in question:

System Maintenance Enhancements:

New inspection Parameter to set the Inspection record to 'Inactive' on finalising: Users reported that they did not want inspections that were completed showing in the Manage Inspections screen. Users can now set a preference to set the record to 'inactive' when finalising and exiting the record. Inspections can still be found in Manage Inspections by filtering the 'Active' column to Show All, or in the Property screen > Inspections tab:
SetSecurity added to Inspection record screen: To enable users to set the security for the Inspection record form.

Tenancy Enhancements:

As At Date field and Rent Paid To Date column added to Arrears Management screen: This enhancement will allow users to enter a date they would like to see the Arrears as at by selecting at the top of the screen ad pressing <TAB> or <ENTER> on their keyboard. The Rent Paid To date column will update to the date the rent was paid to as at the date the screen is run:
Lease To date column on Manage Tenancies: To easily show Tenancy Managers when the next lease is due to expire without having to open the tenancy screen:

% of Market Rent Ceiling preference added: Some organisations will not want to charge a Tenant more than a percentage of the market rent, for example, no more than 74.99% if the household's income is greater than this amount. Chintaro now includes a preference to cap this at whatever percentage is included in System Maintenance > Preferences > Tenancies Rent > Market Rent %:

Report and Export Enhancements:

CAPMH Smoke Alarm Export added: Available in Reports and Exports > Exports > Properties and Maintenance > Smoke Alarms:
Several new Owner Reports: Designed for organisations who manage properties on behalf of property owners. Available in Reports and Exports > Reports > Finance:
Water Balances Export added for WHA: Available in Reports and Exports > Exports > Tenancies > Water Balances:

Target Group drop down added to Client Notes Summary Report: Available in Reports and Exports > Reports > Clients > Client Notes Summary (including minutes):
QLD CHACA Report Preference to count either all Active Tenancies at end of period or count all Tenancies during period: Request to introduce a limitation in the CHACA report to only include Tenancies which have a CHACA Last Eligibility Review Date as some Organisations with high turnover don't want to have to do this. Available in Reports and Exports > QLD Reports > CHACA Report:
4 new Tenancy Balances Trend Reports: All exports will show users the balance of a Tenancy as at a specified date, and the balances as at 12 months or 12 weeks before the As At Date to determine if trends appear with Tenants payments. Available in Reports and Exports > Exports > Tenancies:

Bug Fixes:

Market Rent capping on Rent Calculator - fixed.
Ability to add Property Transaction within close period date - fixed.
If a room was added to a property during the KPM reporting period, the days that the room didn't exist are calculated as VT - fixed.
ODBC Error when applying a date filter > Select All - fixed on all screens.
Inspection Interval and Inspection Type Default Preference - not asking to update all Rooms, not locking default - fixed.
MSD Monthly Report - End dates in US date format - fixed.

Finance Enhancements:

New Tencia format added to Export Property Transactions GL: Written specifically for one organisation and found in Finance > General Ledger Exports > Export Property Transactions GL:

Property Maintenance Enhancements

Estimated Amount on Inventory Item to populate Estimated Cost on Maintenance Task: If an estimated amount is entered in to the Inventory Item > Estimated Amount field, when this item is selected for a Maintenance Task, it will pre-populate the Maintenance Task > Completion Details > Estimated Amount field:
Copy Maintenance Function > now copies Invoice Number to new Task also: If Invoice Number entered in Maintenance Task > Completion Details > Invoice Number field:

Report and Export Enhancements:

New Export for the Length of Tenancies: Some organisations are required to report on this data bi-annually as part of a new service funding agreement. Available in Reports and Exports > Exports > Tenancies > Length of Tenancies:
