How to change a Room Status to Vacant Tenantable when there is no 'Will be Unavailable From' date

Modified on Thu, 2 Feb, 2023 at 1:54 PM

Sometimes, a Room will appear as Vacant Untenantable, but when you double click on the Room to open the Room Details screen, there is no 'Will Be Unavailable From' Date:

You will need to make the Room Vacant Tenantable first, then go and enter the dates the Room was unavailable from after that. This is important, as we need to record that the Room was Vacant Untenantable for a period of time.

1. Double-click on the word Rooms (NOTE: Rooms is not a button, it is only text and double-clicking this word won't look like it does anything yet):

2. In the Room Status column, single left click in the box that is showing as Vacant Untenantable:

3. Drop the list down and select Vacant Tenantable (when you double clicked the word Rooms before, this allowed you to change the Room Status drop down list):

4. The Room will now show as Vacant Tenantable:

5. Exit the Property Screen

6. Go back into the Property, and double-click on the Room to open the Room Details screen again. Enter the date the Room was unavailable from in the 'Will be Unavailable From' field and then click 'Make This Room Untenantable':

7. Now, exit the Room Details screen. Double-click on the Room again to open the Room Details screen. Enter the date the Room became available in the Until box, select a reason from the Because drop-down box if applicable and then click Restore to Vacant Tenantable:

8. The Room will now show as Vacant Tenantable:
