What's new in the latest release?

As one of our last major releases for Chintaro Classic, this version includes us cleaning up a lot of old requests, including adding fields to manage screens and editing reports. This version also includes the updated VRS KPMs, and 2024 NAHA release.



Major Release (2024.06.23)


Client & Tenancy Enhancements

  • Added "CurrentWeeklyRent to the Arrears Management screen.
  • Removed the "Notes" field from Manage Client Notes. This massively improves the performance of the screen.

Property & Maintenance Enhancements

  • Added the NDIS module. This will be expanded on further down the line.
  • Added "Program" to the Market Rent Review screen.
  • Added "Future Planning Intent" and "Future Planning Date" to the Manage Property Forecast Maintenance screen.

Finance Enhancements

  • Amended the MYOB GL Format to utilise the "Works Type" reference table. For more info, contact Chintaro Support.
  • Amended the TechOne (Launch 2024) GL format with various changes.

Reporting Enhancements

  • The 2024 NAHA template has been released, and the reports have been adjusted to match the new requirements.
  • The VRS has been edited to account for the new formatting and reporting requirements by the DTF. You can track how your KPMs are progressing via the Reporting Analyser (Home > Reports & Exports > Reporting Analyser):
  • Added the Program field to several KPMs.
  • Added UPI#/ISIP field to "WA Quarterly Habitat Report" in Exports > Tenancies.
  • Added the option to Export from the Audit screen.

Bug Fixes

  • Improved the Reporting Analyser screen loading speed. The name is changed from Statutory Reporting Analyser, as it will begin to feature internal reporting KPIs.
  • Fixed a bug where a duplicate property is created if you access the "Reporting" tab before you name a new property.
  • Fixed a bug where NRS KPM 6.1.6 excluded inactive tenancies.
  • Fixed a bug where Completed Dates in maintenance tasks were being changed to the year 300, causing errors.
  • Fixed a bug where "Rent Calculated To" would not populate in arrears word merges.
  • Fixed a bug where the "Owner Trust Ledger" report was omitting specific transactions.
  • Fixed a bug where the "Individual Payment" field in EVOR would only consider payments for one tenant in joint tenancies.

Patch Release 2024.06.27

  • Fixed VRS KPM 4.2 not considering tenants who began the year in credit. These tenants are now filtered out, so won't throw off your arrears totals.
  • Fixed an error when running the occupancy calculation.
  • Fixed a bug that appeared when buffering bond transactions.
  • Fixed the "Add Alert" button being invisible.

Patch Release 2024.07.09

  • Fixed a bug where filtering on the "Rent?" column in tenancy transactions threw an error.
  • Fixed NRS KPM 1.2.3 omitting tenants whose reason for leaving was empty.
  • Added a new tenancy GL format, "Xero (Opening Doors)".
  • Fixed a bug where the Bulk Email Statements function didn't work if the "Reply Recipient" field was blank.
  • Edited the Maintenance GL format "Xero" to be formatted more appropriately.
  • Imported transactions from the bank will now no longer enter if they are in a locked period:
  • Similar to above, rent charges can no longer be generated backwards into a locked period.
  • Fixed a bug where the "Copy Work Order" button in maintenance tasks would lose "Email CC" details.
  • Added the new HOMES Vic General Lease reports for FY24. These are called AnnexE and AnnexF and will be in your templates folder if you're a Cloud user.

Patch Release 2024.08.01

  • Fixed a bug on calculation of GST in Owner Summary reports.
  • Added a new field, "Fortnightly Rent Amount" to the Arrears Management screen.
  • Made various changed to the new GL format, Xero (Opening Doors)
  • Edited the Maintenance GL format "Xero" to be formatted more appropriately.
  • Defaulted the "Tenancy Transactions" button to show when checking Edit Rent in tenancy details.
  • Fixed a bug where saved views were adding onto each other, rather than clearing and restarting.
  • Added Rainbow Tick Accreditation compliance requirements:

  • Added three fields to Manage Property Maintenance; Property Type, Construction, DateConstructed.
  • Removed rich text tags (eg &) from the General Lease maintenance report.
  • Fixed a bug where the "Rent Collected" column in the General Lease finance report was calculating incorrectly for properties which had been vacated and re-tenanted within the period.

Patch Release 2024.08.12

  • Added the Property Type field to Manage Tenancy Balances.
  • Fixed a bug where the Risk Rating headings on the home screen couldn't be changed.
  • Added the LGA column to Bulk Tenancy Email.
  • Added a field for Fortnightly Rent Amount to Arrears Management.
  • Added a new field to Manage Rooms: Last Rent Change. Indicates the last day that rent was changed before the most recent.
  • Fixed the CCeS import process to use the NXT payment type (future payment amount), rather than the PYD type (past amount).
  • Added four key fields to Manage Properties

Patch Release 2024.08.21

  • Added an option to the NAHA report to use ICS rent assistance, if it's been uploaded to the client income section:
  • Adjusted several KPMs in the VRS report within the Reporting Analyser to improve processing speed and accuracy of data (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 2.2, 2.3, 4.4, 4.5).
  • Fixed a bug where a backend Chintaro element was appearing when running certain bank imports.
  • Removed inactive clients from appearing on Rent statements.


Patch Release 2024.08.28

  • Further updates to KPMs within the VRS report in the Reporting Analyser. These include 1.4.2, 1.4.3, 1.4.4, and 1.4.5.
