SAML Certificate Renewal for Chintaro Cloud SSO

Modified on Mon, 29 Jan 2024 at 03:21 PM

This article outlines what to do in the event your organisations SAML certificate is due to expire.

A failure to action the renewal and advise Chintaro will cause the certificate to expire and all authentications by users within the organisation to fail, rendering all users unable to login.

For this reason it is important to proactively manage the expiration by informing Chintaro Support of any expirations pending.

How to Renew a Certificate

Please see this solution from Microsoft on how to - Renew a certificate that will soon expire

It is important to include an overlap period that will allow Chintaro Support to import and update the new certificate without causing downtime to the users. If you are unsure about this, please reach out to support@chintaro.com.au to discuss.

Advise Chintaro

Once the new certificate has been created, please advise Chintaro Support via support@chintaro.com.au of the expiration date of the old certificate and the commencement date of the new certificate, allowing enough overlap for Chintaro to action the change.

Chintaro will provide a secure Sharepoint link for the certificate to be sent through and will advise when the new certificate has been applied, allowing any older certificates to then be inactivated.
