Removing or inactivating a Client

Modified on Wed, 22 Jun, 2022 at 1:53 PM

There are few reasons to remove a Client from Chintaro and make them inactive, but an example of when you would want to remove them from the system is if they have deceased. If you want to remove the Client, you will need to inactivate their Client screen.

Only 'Active' records are visible in Chintaro, and 'Inactive' records are hidden as a default. You will still be able to find the record again if required.

This solution details:

Inactivating a Client record

From the Home Screen, click Clients from the Main Menu on the left hand side of the screen, then click Manage Clients. This opens the Client Search Screen:

Chintaro will now show all Active Client records and you can search for the Client you would like to remove. Once found, double click anywhere along their row to open their Client screen.

At the bottom left of the Client screen, there is an 'Active Client?': tick box. Unticking this box will make the Client record inactive:

Exit the screen, click Show ALL and the Client will no longer appear.

Find an Inactivated Client record

If you would like to find a Client record that has been made inactive, from the Home Screen, click Clients from the Main Menu on the left hand side of the screen, then click Manage Clients. This opens the Client Search Screen:

Move the scroll bar at the bottom of the screen to the right hand side to find the 'Active' column. Click the funnel icon in the 'Active' column heading, and tick the '(Select All) box. Click OK:

Chintaro will now show all Active and Inactive Client records and you can search for the Inactivated Client. Once found, double click anywhere along their row to open their Client screen.
