Client not showing in Manage Clients screen when searching

Modified on Mon, 20 Jun, 2022 at 2:15 PM

If you have searched for a Client but they aren't appearing in the Manage Clients screen, it is most likely that they have been made inactive. This solution covers:

What is an 'Inactive Client'?

If you have searched for a Client in the Manage Clients screen and you can't find them, their Client screen has been made 'inactive'. Only 'Active' records are visible in Chintaro, whereas 'Inactive' records are hidden as a default.

NOTE: Inactivating a Client should only occur when a Client has deceased.

Finding an Inactive Client record

From the Home Screen, click Clients from the Main Menu on the left, then click Manage Clients. This opens the Client Search Screen:

Move the scroll bar at the bottom of the screen to find the 'Active' column. Click the funnel icon in the column heading, and click the '(Select All) box. Click OK:

Chintaro will now show all Active and Inactive Client records and you can search for the Inactive Client.

Making an Inactive Client Active Again

If a Client has been made Inactive by accident, you can make the 'Active' again so they are visible in the default Client Search Screen (when you first come in to the screen).

Search for the Client who has been made Inactive, and double click on their row to open their Client screen.

At the bottom left of the Client screen, there is an 'Active Client?': tick box. Ticking this box will make the Client screen active again:

Exit the screen and click Show ALL to refresh.
