The Key Register in the property screen keeps track of the keys that are provided to your Tenants. Each property has its own register, but all keys entered in Chintaro can be viewed from a bulk screen.
This solution covers:
- Adding a new key to a Property
- Viewing all keys in an individual Property
- Viewing all keys in all Properties (system wide)
Adding a new key to a Property
To open the Key Register, from the Home Screen, click Properties, then Manage Properties and double click the Property you want to add the key to. Click the Keys button at the top of the screen.
To add a new key, click the button and the Key Details pop up appears:
Field | Description |
Property Name | The Property Name will default to the Property Record you are in. |
Location | Select the location of the key from the drop down list (EG Back Door) |
Tag | Enter your Organisation’s ID on the tag of the key. |
Code | The code of the key can be entered if it is a security key and has a particular code for replacement. |
Letterbox/ Kitchen Cupboard/ Window | Enter information, where relevant. |
Comments | Add any additional comments about the key. |
Ordered? | Tick this box to indicate if a replacement key has been ordered. |
Viewing all keys in an individual Property
To open the Key Register, from the Home Screen, click Properties, then Manage Properties and double click the Property you want to add the key to. Click the Keys button at the top of the screen. The middle section of the screen will change to show you all of the keys allocated to the Property:
Viewing all keys in all Properties (system wide)
To view all of the keys added to all properties in the system, go to the Home Screen, then click on Property Maintenance on the left hand menu, then click Keys. The Manage Keys screen will appear:
To create a report regarding the keys in the system, click either Print or Export from this screen.
To view an individual key's details, double click on the row and the Key Details pop up will appear. Edit as required.
