Why does Bulk Email Statements look different?

Modified on Thu, 28 Mar 2024 at 04:34 PM

We have recently changed the Bulk Email Statements screen to delay emails from being sent after they're created. This will allow users to check whether they are sending to the right tenant and email address before they leave the Outbox.

This is our workaround for this feature becoming unreliable with a new version of Microsoft Outlook, and will last until Chintaro Web changes how this process works.

For Chintaro users who are unfamiliar with this screen's functions, you can read more about Tenant Statements in this solution: Tenancy Screen - Statements.

However, those of you who are experienced with this screen will notice a new heading:

This line indicates how long emails will be delayed for before sending. This time can be modified via Preferences (Home > System Maintenance > Preferences):

When emails are delayed, they will be written to your Outlook account, and then sit in the Outbox until the delayed time has elapsed. If the delay period is 60 minutes, the emails will sit in your Outbox for 1 hour and then be sent after that.

This delay only applies to emails sent from the Bulk Email Statements screen.

If you have any questions about the new function of this screen, please contact Chintaro Support at support@chintaro.com.au.
