What is the KPM5 Tenancies screen used for in Chintaro Insights?

Chintaro Insights populates the KPM5 Tenancies screen with the metrics and data required for KPM5 of the the Victorian Regulatory System, commonly known as the Housing Registrar KPM (Key Performance Measures) Report.

5.1 Tenancies at July 1

The total number of tenancies as at 1 July (year start)


NB. This is the number of actual tenancies (i.e. households not tenancy units)

5.2 Tenancies then current at June 30

Of the total number of tenancies that were current at 1 July (year start), the number of these tenancies that were still current as at 30 June (year end) (i.e. the tenancy was maintained for the full year)

Include:

tenancies that transferred from one dwelling to another dwelling as one continuous tenancy, regardless of whether they have a new tenancy agreement in place (record the housing type as per the tenancy details as at 30 June)

NB. This is the number of actual tenancies (i.e. households not tenancy units)

5.3 New Tenancies During Year

All new tenancies that were allocated housing during the year, either to existing or new/upgraded tenancy units

Exclude:

tenancies that transferred from one dwelling to another dwelling, regardless of whether they have a new tenancy agreement in place (these tenancies are classified as one continuous tenancy

5.5 Tenancies on Public Housing Waitlist

The total number of new tenancies that were on the public housing wait list at the time of allocation 


Exclude:

Tenancies that were eligible for public housing at the time of allocation but were not on the public housing wait list
