From time to time, you will need to update your version of Parallels Client. These updates can be prompted to users on start-up, or by navigating to the updates tab if that setting is disabled.
- Step 1: Open Parallels Client
- Step 2: Click 'Tools'
- Step 3: Select 'Options'
- Step 4: Locate the Updates button
- Step 5: Run the Update Checker
- Step 6: Apply updates
Step 1
Open Parallels Client from the shortcut on your desktop:
Step 2
Click on 'Tools' from the menu options at the top of the Parallels Client window:
Step 3
From the drop-down menu in 'Tools', click on 'Options..."
Step 4
Depending on the current version you are running, you will either see the screenshot in Figure 1a below, or you will need to click on the Update tab first (Figure 1b). In either case, press the 'Check for updates now... button (you can also tick the Check for updates on startup if you would like it to happen automatically each time you login):

Step 5
The update checker will open and then run. This will advise the user if there is an update for you to download and enable you to apply it. If there are no updates available, the screen below will appear, and not action is necessary:
Step 6
If there is an update, the screen below will appear. Click on Update. The new version should be downloaded and installed in one step. If you prefer, you can click on the Download button to download the full installer to your local computer.
If you clicked on Download, you will need to locate the MSI Installer file in your Downloads folder and go through the installation wizard. Further instructions for that can be found in this solution: Installing Parallels Client for Chintaro Cloud.
