New Cloud customer - sending your Data Folder to Chintaro Support

Modified on Tue, 10 Jul 2018 at 02:10 PM

When your Organisation moves to Chintaro Cloud, we will need to move your Data Folder to the Cloud environment. This is so that once you have logged in the Cloud environment contains your data, your Templates and your security settings.

Locating your Chintaro\Data folder

Chintaro databases are held in a \Chintaro\Data folder – usually on a server – that either has a mapped drive letter for users; e.g. W:\Chintaro\Data

or is referred to by its UNC (Universal naming convention); e.g. \\Server1\Chintaro \Data

To locate where your Chintaro\Data folder is kept on your network, right click your Chintaro icon on your desktop, and click on Properties:

When the Chintaro Properties window opens, look for the drive location in the Target Line, eg. s:\chintaro\data:

NOTE: Your Chintaro\Data folder may be on any letter of a mapped drive.

Find the Chintaro\Data folder on your network

Open 'This PC'/My Computer on your Desktop and find the Data folder from the location in the Target Line (above).

There are 4 database files held in this folder:

1. RHMDAT.mdb – where most of the dynamic Chintaro is held;

2. RHMREF.mdb – where reference data is held;

3. RHMAUD.mdb – where audit data is held;

4. RHP.mdw – where security data is held.

As well as the following folders; Templates, Inspection Images, Inspection Exports and Downloads.

Send your WHOLE Data Folder to a Compressed (zipped) folder

To zip your Data Folder  files, single right click on the Data Folder, Send To > Compressed (zipped Folder):

This will create a new 'zip' folder that contains your Data and is compressed to be sent.

Rename your zipped file to 'YOUR ORGANISATION NAME Data DATE' : EG: Chintaro Support Data 27042017

Email zipped folder to Chintaro Support

Attach the compressed folder to a new email and send to support@chintaro.com.au.

If you would like assistance with sending your databases, or if the file size is to large to send via email please contact support@chintaro.com.au.
