Centrelink Customers may ask to pay their bills and other costs through Centrepay. Each deduction can have an end date or target amount in place. The deduction is made from the tenants Centrelink Benefits before their payments are made to their account each fortnight. Organisations can update, cancel or vary this deduction on behalf of their tenants if they have permission to do so.
The CBuS screen in Chintaro enables users to create the file with the necessary information to do this as the last step of their rent review process. Approved Centrepay Businesses can submit a bulk file of multiple Customer requests to add, vary or cancel Centrepay Deductions, with appropriate Deduction Authority from Customers. User Guides for using these services are available on the CBuS landing page under the help menu.

- Check clients have appropriate data and permissions entered

Check clients have appropriate data and permissions entered
All tenants who have consented to your organisation using the CBuS service need to have certain permissions checked and data entered to their screen in order for the data to be confirmed and sent back to Chintaro from Centrelink.
If you tenant has approved of you using CBuS, they need to have the following entered into their client screen (CBuS can only be submitted for current tenants):

Surname | Must match exactly to what Centrelink have on their database |
Date of Birth | Must match exactly to what Centrelink have on their database |
CRN | Must match exactly to what Centrelink have on their database |

Create the export file to send to Centrelink
To create a single CSV file containing client information to send to Centrelink, from the Home screen, click Finance, then Centrelink Functions, and Centrepay Bulk Upload Service (CBUS).
Field | Description |
Output Folder | Select the folder that the CSV file will be saved in, by clicking the ... button |
File Name | Enter the name that the file will be saved as |
Date of Deduction | Enter the Date of Deduction/CRA Changes. This must be at least 15 days in to the future. |
EVoR Type | The EVoR type will default to Centrepay Deductions |

Rent Amount | Select either ‘The rent amount as the deduction date’ or ‘The “New Rent” Amount’ |
Adjustments | Some tenants will have other charges, arrangements or ASL's in addition to their 'Rent amount' that they are charged. Due to this fact, the EVoR screen in Chintaro enables users to choose if the amount that they are uploading to Centrelink is 'Rent Only' or if it includes these other amounts. |
Click Select All to Include all Clients, or individually tick the Include box for those Clients you want to include in the export. Click Export and Chintaro will advise you the file has been created successfully in the location you populated.
You can then upload the CBuS file to Centrelink.
