Finance - Delete transaction from the bank accoun

Modified on Tue, 6 Sep, 2022 at 1:32 PM

Chintaro allows you to delete bank transactions if you have a setting enabled to do so. This setting should only be turned on when you need to delete a transaction and turned off immediately after the action is taken.

To enable the setting to delete bank transactions, from the Home screen, click System Maintenance> Preferences> Finance> Delete Bank Transactions. Set the preference to Yes.

Note: Check the 'Close Period' is open for the date the transaction is to be deleted from. If the transaction you want to delete is in a closed period, you should not delete the transaction but speak to your finance person first.

To delete the transaction, go back to the Home screen> Finance> Bank Functions> View Bank Account (2 Line) screen and find the transaction you wish to delete.

Click on the row of the transaction so an arrow appears on that row, and click the Delete button on your keyboard.

You will get a message saying 'You are about to delete 1 record'. Click OK.

The transaction will now be deleted out of the bank account.

Finally, go back to System Maintenance> Preferences> Finance> Allow Transaction Edit and set it to No.
