If you receive the error 'The Microsoft Access Engine could not find the object 'Databases'. Make sure the object exists and that you spell its name and the path name correctly. If 'Databases' is not a local object, check your network connection or contact the server administrator' you have a corrupt copy of the code database (chintaro.mdb).

If Chintaro is working on someone else's PC

To fix this error, go to a PC that Chintaro is working on, and copy the chintaro.mdb file from the C:\Chintaro folder:

Copy this file up to your server, or copy it to a USB.

Go to the PC that Chintaro is not working on, and navigate to the C:\Chintaro folder. Copy the file from the server, or the USB and paste it in the C:\CHintaro folder.

Click 'Copy and Replace'.

Open Chintaro and the message will no longer appear.

If you are the only person who uses Chintaro

You will need to download a new version of the code database (chintaro.mdb).

Go to this link and download the latest version: Updating to the latest version of Chintaro

Copy the chintaro.mdb from the zipped file and navigate to your C:\Chintaro folder. Paste the file you copied in the C:\Chintaro folder.

Click 'Copy and Replace'.

Open Chintaro and the message will no longer appear.
