Error #2001: mzRelink() (Access Version)

Modified on Mon, 26 Sep 2022 at 09:04 AM

When running Access, the Trust Centre Settings have to be adjusted in order to allow Chintaro to run properly. When macros are not enabled, you will see this error:

Process for Single User Error

If there is only one user getting this error, their Chintaro version may be corrupt.

In order to fix this, replace the Chintaro.mdb file located in the :\Chintaro folder with a Chintaro.mdb from a working PC. If this doesn't resolve the issue, get in touch with Chintaro support.

Trusted locations in Access

Depending on which version of Windows and Access you are using, you may also get a series of annoying warnings that appear after you enter your login details to Chintaro. The warning looks like this:

You may get this message a few times or up to 20 times before Chintaro opens. If you keep clicking Open, you will eventually get past them.

NOTE: To remove these messages and adjust the settings, the following steps need to be taken on all PCs that are running Chintaro.

Trusted Location Settings in Microsoft Access

After you have adjusted the Trust Center Settings in Microsoft Access, you will also need to turn on Trusted Locations and set the Chintaro Data folder and the local Chintaro folder as Trusted Locations.

The warnings are telling you that Chintaro is accessing a folder that is not a “trusted” folder, and therefore your computer is not sure is safe.  The folder concerned is usually the local file Chintaro runs from, or the shared data folder that contains the Chintaro database files. Any folder that appears in one of these warnings in not “trusted”. The easiest way to make a folder "trusted" is to turn on Trusted locations, and setting the location (with Access 2010).

Step 1. Open Microsoft Access

Step 2. Select ‘Open Other Files’

Step 3. Select ‘Options’ from the menu on the left hand side:

Step 4. Select ‘Trust Center’ at the bottom of the left-hand menu on the ‘Access Options’ page. Then select ’Trust Center Settings’ on the right hand side of the pop up.

Step 5. Select Trusted Locations from the menu on the left, and then tick the ‘Allow Trusted Locations on my network’ box.

Step 6. Click

Step 7. Add the Chintaro Data folder and the local Chintaro client folder to the Path field. For both folders, check the 'Subfolders of this location are also trusted' box:

Once you have added both locations (Data Folder on the Shared Drive and Client Folder on the C: Drive, the Security Warnings will no longer appear.

Step 8. Repeat this process for all PCs that are running Chintaro.
