If your organisation is already running Chintaro, and would like to run it from another PC, follow these steps.
TABLE OF CONTENTS
- STEP 1: Copy the C:\Chintaro folder from original PC to your new PC
- STEP 2: Ensure Access is installed on the new PC
- STEP 3: Adjust the Access Trust Center Settings
- STEP 4: Launch Chintaro
STEP 1: Copy the C:\Chintaro folder from original PC to your new PC
Log out of Chintaro and copy the C:\Chintaro folder from a users PC to a memory stick, or more commonly to a shared network folder. Make sure that the desktop shortcut used to launch Chintaro is included in this folder before copying.
Then go to the new PC and copy this Chintaro folder from the memory stick or from your shared network drive to the C: drive of the new PC, creating a C:\Chintaro folder. Then, copy the Chintaro shortcut from the Chintaro folder and paste it on the desktop or taskbar.
STEP 2: Ensure Access is installed on the new PC
Chintaro requires Microsoft Access 2007 or greater to be installed on a PC before it can run. If you do not have Access installed, you can download the free Microsoft Access Run Time 2010 (32 bit version) and use this to run Chintaro.
STEP 3: Adjust the Access Trust Center Settings
To run Chintaro, macros need to be enabled in Access for every PC. These are set in the Access Trust Center. Before running Chintaro, the Microsoft Access Trust Center Settings on each PC have to be adjusted in order to allow Chintaro to run properly.
NOTE: If you are using Access Runtime, you do not need to change the Trust Center Settings. For how to do this, please see this link: Adjusting the Trust Center and Trusted Location settings in Access
If you do not adjust the Trust Center and Trusted locations in Access, you will see these errors every time that you log into Chintaro:
STEP 4: Launch Chintaro
Log in to Chintaro by double-clicking on the shortcut file on the desktop. You will see the following login dialogue box:
