Chintaro Insights Date Fields

Modified on Thu, 20 May 2021 at 04:22 PM

Chintaro Insights employs filters to enable you to 'drill-down' and analyse your performance indicators from Chintaro, over a period of time. This solution details how to best use the date filters to see the range of dates you wish to view.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Where are the date filters in Chintaro Insights?

The date filters show on the left hand side of each screen in Chintaro Insights. The date filters control the data within the visualisations on the screen, and once a date filter is applied, all screens (including breakout screens) will have that same filter applied.

The date fields can be applied in several ways:

1. You can type in the dates you wish to search from and to, or

2. You can select a period of time using the calendar function below, or

3. Selecting a period of time listed, EG Last Financial Year, Last Quarter, etc.

Typing in the dates you wish to report from and to

Click the black drop down arrow to show the options:

In general, when you want to filter the date range to a longer period of time (EG anything over a month), you will use from 'from' and 'to' dates.

Click in the first field, remove the date that defaults and retype the date in full that you wish to report from as DD/MM/YYYY

NOTE: For days and months with 1 number EG January, you must type a zero at the beginning, so that January shows as 01:

Next, click in the date field on the right and enter the date you wish to report to:

Click elsewhere on the screen and the date filters applied will show on the left hand side of the screen:

Selecting a period of time to report on using the calendar function

When you want to filter the date range to a shorter period of time (EG date or a date within a month), you will use the calendar control to select the time period.

Click the black drop down arrow to show the options:

Click on the first date you wish to report on so that the date alone is highlighted:

Then navigate to the last date you wish to report on and single click that date also, so that the rage of dates you want to report on are selected green:

All Insights visualisations will now be filtered to the dates applied.

Filtering by default dates (EG Quarterly)

The Chintaro Insights date controls have several quick date filters that can be applied, such as Last Financial Year, Last Quarter and more.

To apply one of these types of date filters, click the black drop down next to the date filters applied and select the option you wish to default to:

All Insights visualisations will now be filtered to the dates applied.

Removing Date Filters

To remove date filters applied, click the Default button. This will remove all date filters applied and go back to the last financial year dates:
