Ensure the Windows Default Printer is not selected

The first step is to make sure your local computer has the correct settings.

Locate your Printers & Scanners settings and find the setting called "Let Windows manage my default printer". This should be ticked Off.

If this setting currently on, change the setting to off, and check that the correct printer is set up as the Default (see screenshot). After that, log into Parallels again: Logging off Chintaro from Parallels Client on your PC

Attempt to print your document again through Chintaro.

Match the exact Printer name

If the step above (Windows Printer is not selected) doesn't resolve your issue, open Parallels Client (on your Desktop):

Right click on the Connection name on the left hand side (EG your username / organisation name), and click Connection Properties:

In the Connection Properties pop up, click Printing:

In RAS Universal Printing > Redirect printers, select to redirect Specific Only:

If you select 'Specific Only', you can select the printer from the list of printers below by ticking the box of the printer you would like:

Next, click Change Default Printer Settings.....

Set the default printer as your network printer (not "Default local printers") by selecting the appropriate Printer in the list, tick the Match exact Printer name tick box and click OK.

Change the 'Force Default Printer' field to 120 seconds and then Click OK:

Use Local Printer Properties from Parallels

There is a Parallels setting to make sure you are using the local printer properties rather than default properties from the cloud printer driver.

If this isn't set up, it can create issues where the printer doesn't work correctly through Chintaro Cloud.

To change this setting, Right click your parallels connection> select Connection Properties> Printing tab> Options button:

It will be similar to:

From this screen, set the checkbox to "Use client preferences for all printers".

Sending Parallels Client Log File to Support

Failing the above steps, then please download your client log file and attach it to a ticket to Chintaro Support. The instructions for that are here How to send your Parallels Client log file to Support.
