Setting up your Chintaro RAS Connection

Modified on Wed, 17 Jan 2024 at 09:13 AM

Before configuring Parallels Client, you will need to install it on your desktop. To do this see this Solution: Installing Parallels Client for Chintaro Cloud  Once it is installed, it will need to be configured.

If you have been given a configuration file (*.2xc) follow the instructions in this Solution: Importing your RAS Connection to the Parallels Client (Desktop) to access Chintaro.

If you don't have a configuration file or prefer to configure it manually, follow the steps in the solution below.

**Note: You will need to know which Parallels Username and password to use.  This will be given to you by Chintaro Support (or copied from an existing device if setting up a new device to work from home).  It is very important to understand that if anyone is sharing a Parallels Username, only one person can login at a time with it.  If someone else tries to login while it is in use, the first person's session will be disconnected and taken over by the new user.  That user will then have access to any Parallels Client applications that were open, such as Excel or Outlook.

Before you start: If Parallels doesn't look like what you see in this solution, you'll need to untick this box in Settings:

1. Start Parallels Client

2. To create a New Connection

a. Select File then select New Connection

b. Select Parallels Remote Application Server and click OK
