Chintaro includes the functionality required to run the DCJ Report for New South Wales Chintaro Users. This report, made up of 5 individual reports, is provided to the Department of Family and Community Services (FaCS). This solution details:

Setting Up Chintaro to produce to DCJ Report

Before you run the DCJ Report, Chintaro needs to be set up correctly. Click this solution to see how to Set Up Chintaro to produce the DCJ Report.

The DCJ Report also requires you to run the Occupancy Calculation for the entire period you wish to report on. The Occupancy Calculation calculates the occupancy and vacancy data of your Properties within a specified period of time. If you have not run the Occupancy Calculation for the entire period you wish to report on, when you go to run the report, you will get a warning message preventing you from running the report.

Running the DCJ Report

To run the DCJ Report, from the Home Screen, click Reports and Exports, then NSW Reports and DCJ Report. The DCJ Report screen will open:

First, enter the Start Date of the period you would like to report on, then enter the End Date of the period you would like to report on.

Select an Output Folder by clicking the box with 3 dots, and navigating to somewhere on your PC (EG Desktop).

Select the Programs you would like to include in the report from the Report Program Filters box so they appear highlighted black. NOTE: This is a multi select box, where you can select more than 1 program:

If the Weekly Rent Figure includes Commonwealth Rent Assistance, tick the box. Similarly, if the Income figure includes Commonwealth Rent Assistance, tick the box.

Select the appropriate option from the Commonwealth Rent Assistance Box (either Use Maximum CRA, Enter Zero for CRA or Use CRA from last Rent Review if you are in South Australia).

If you would like to Use ISIP/ CPG# / UPI# as the Property ID, tick the box, and if you would like to include tenant's name in the report, tick the Include names in the report option.

When you have set all report details and there is no Occupancy Calculation warning, click Create Report at the top of the screen.

Chintaro will create the report(s) to the location in your Output Folder and a message will appear on the screen to advise the DCJ Report has been completed.

Go to the Output Folder you selected, and the 5 Excel document will appear with REPORTNAME-DATE.csv:

Occupancy Calculation Warning

The DCJ Report requires you to have run the Occupancy Calculation for the entire period you wish to report on. When you enter the Start Date and End Dates you wish to report on, Chintaro will alert you to the periods that you have run the Occupancy Calculation for on the right hand side of the screen:

Take note of the periods you have not run the Occupancy Calculation for.

You will need to exit the DCJ Report screen, go back to the Reports and Exports menu, click on Occupancy Calculation and run this calculation for the periods that were missing from the DCJ Report screen that you wish to report on.

Once you have run the Occupancy Calculation for the periods on the right hand side of the screen, when you go back to the Reports and Exports> NSW Reports> DCJ Report screen, the Occupancy Calculation warning will disappear but you will need to enter the report details again:
